Bolivar is a thriving community situated along the Highway 13 corridor just 30 minutes north of Springfield, MO and 2 hours south of Kansas City. The county seat of Polk County, Bolivar has a population of 10,949 (2021 Census estimate) and 31,519 people are estimated to live in the county. Bolivar was designated as the county seat when Polk County was formed on Nov. 10, 1835.

The town of Bolivar is proud of its award-winning schools, state-of-the-art medical facilities, a four-year private university, a distinguished art gallery, museum, and the northern trailhead of Ozark Greenways Frisco Highline Trail.
